The County Clerk is one of the oldest known and critically important offices in local government, dating back to Ancient Greece. The office is responsible for recording, filing, and preserving legal documents and records. Our mission is to provide efficient, friendly, respectful service to the public and to provide exceptional customer service to every resident of Onondaga County who walks through our doors.

Please note that our office is closed on the first Tuesday of every month from 10:30AM until 11:00AM, for a staff meeting.

Our office will be closed to observe the following Holidays in 2024:

  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day – Monday, January 15th
  • Presidents’ Day – Monday, February 19th
  • Memorial Day – Monday, May 27th
  • Juneteenth – Wednesday, June 19th
  • Independence Day – Thursday, July 4th
  • Labor Day – Monday, September 2nd
  • Veteran’s Day – Monday, November 11th
  • Thanksgiving – Thursday and Friday, November 28-29th
  • Christmas Day – Wednesday, December 25th
