The Onondaga County Clerk’s Office is an authorized NYS Thruway E-ZPass® On-the Go retail location. E-ZPass® tags can be purchased in our office for $25.00. Once purchased, it will need to be registered with E-ZPass® either online or via a toll-free customer service telephone number before using it. The full $25.00 is applied to the account once the tag has been registered.
**Important: Tag will be available for use the day after it is registered.**

 
What is E-ZPass® and how does it work?
E-ZPass® is an electronic toll collection system, which takes cash, coins and toll tickets out of the toll collection process. Instead, drivers establish an account, prepay tolls and attach a small electronic device to their vehicles. Tolls are automatically deducted from the prepaid account as an E-ZPass® customer passes through the toll lane.
