COUNTY CLERK EMILY ESSI BERSANI ANNOUNCES AFTER HOURS PASSPORT APPOINTMENTS

Date: Wednesday, September 10th, 2025

Time: 4:00pm-6:00pm

Location: 401 Montgomery Street, Room 200, Syracuse, NY 13202

Onondaga County Clerk Emily Bersani is pleased to announce a pilot program offering after-hours passport application appointments. The extended hours are designed to accommodate residents who may have difficulty accessing services during standard business hours. Beginning September 10th, the County Clerk’s office will offer appointments for passport applications from 4:00pm-6:00pm, every other Wednesday.

“Our community has needs beyond 9-5, and their government should meet our neighbors where they are: on their schedule,” said Onondaga County Clerk Emily Bersani. “I am excited to offer the great quality of service Onondaga County deserves on the schedule our community needs.”

County Clerk Emily Bersani has made expanding access to the office a hallmark of her tenure in office. These extended hours follow the launch of Clerk Bersani’s mobile office hours and efforts to grow and expand other services such as the Veterans’ Favor Card program.

To schedule an appointment, please call the Office of the County Clerk at (315) 435-2227. Please be prepared to let us know how many applicants will be applying (e.g. a family of four, 2 children under the age of 16, etc.), and if you need photos taken. When making an appointment, County Clerk staff will review a list of documents you must bring with you.
