The only way a youth can be detained at Hillbrook is by a court order.

A Judge (Family or Criminal Court) is the only person that can order a youth to detention.

If you are having problems with your child, there is help available through the Onondaga County’s ACCESS Team.

ACCESS is a multi-disciplinary team, that includes Social Services, Probation, Parent Support Partners and practitioners, and is the lead agency when it comes to assisting parents and schools with issues relating to their child.

We encourage parents/guardians to contact the ACCESS Team directly to begin seeking services by calling 315-463-1100.

Hillbrook Detention Center is continuously seeking qualified individuals that want to work directly with youth.

Hillbrook welcomes aspiring educators seeking to fulfill their student practicum requirements.

Candidates must be enrolled in a higher education program and/or course, which require college level students to observe certified teachers in a classroom.

The education department also welcomes volunteers into the classrooms to assist youth in completing assignments and/or provide tutoring.
