Home visiting is a free, voluntary program that provides support to expectant parents and families with young children. Syracuse Healthy Start’s trained Family Support Specialists meet with families in their homes, virtually, or at another convenient location to offer personalized guidance based on each family’s unique needs and goals. We can provide information on pregnancy, child development, parenting, health and wellness, and community resources while helping families build confidence and strengthen their support system. Our goal is to partner with families, celebrate their strengths, and connect them with the resources they need to help children grow up healthy, safe, and ready to thrive.

More than half of all pregnancies are not planned, and if you’re facing an unexpected pregnancy, you don’t have to go through it alone. Healthy Families offers free, voluntary support for teens who are pregnant or parenting. Our Family Support Specialists are here to answer your questions, provide encouragement, and connect you with the resources you need. We can provide information about birth control, health insurance, finding a health care provider, and other community resources, while offering ongoing support every step of the way. Whether you’re looking for information, someone to talk to, or help planning for your future, we’re here to help.
