Cashier’s Unit

The Cashier’s Unit is responsible for the receipt and disbursement of funds on behalf of the Departments of Social Services- Economic Security, Children & Family Services, and Adult & Long-Term Care for public assistance programs including but not limited to collection/recoveries, repayments, refunds, fraud restitution, Medicaid surplus (spend-down).

Accounts Payable

Accounts Payable processes payments on behalf of the Departments of Social Services- Economic Security, Children & Family Services, and Adult & Long-Term Care for public assistance programs such as Temporary Assistance, Day Care and Foster Care.

Procurement

Procurement is responsible for payment processing for all Onondaga County Departments that Financial Operations represents, supports Departments’ procurement needs in collaboration with the Purchasing Department, handles requests to reissue checks for non-Social Services related payments, and Court & Trust matters.
