District 13 Legislator, Ken Bush Jr., Honors Tracy Carmody, Greater Baldwinsville Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year
Syracuse, NY — Onondaga County Legislator Ken Bush, Jr. representing the 13th District joined the Greater Baldwinsville Chamber of Commerce (GBCC) in recognizing Tracy Carmody, founder and CEO of Paths to Recovery Mental Health Counseling (PTR), as the 2025 Business Person of the Year. He presented her with a Legislature High Honor for her exceptional contributions to the Baldwinsville community.
“Tracy Carmody represents the very best of Baldwinsville,” said Legislator Bush. “Her dedication to expanding mental health services, supporting families, investing in local business districts, and strengthening community well‑being is inspiring. She is making an impact as both a business leader and as a caring neighbor. I’m proud to be able to confer a Gold Seal honor on behalf of the Onondaga County Legislature.”
Carmody founded PTR in 2012 as a solo practice and has since grown it into a multi‑location mental health organization serving individuals and families across Baldwinsville and Manlius. Under her leadership, PTR has expanded to include specialized children’s services, the innovative Sober Curious CNY Series supporting women exploring recovery, and the newly opened PTR Holistic Health and Wellness Center, offering integrative services that support whole‑person well‑being.
Beyond her business accomplishments, Carmody is deeply embedded in community service. PTR partners with Girl Scouts and Baldwinsville Rotary, and Carmody serves on the advisory board of Maureen’s Hope Foundation. She volunteers in local schools, supports mental health programming, sponsors community events, and helped coordinate the B’ville Earth Day Cleanup with GBCC and Baldwinsville Rotary.
Carmody’s selection as Business Person of the Year nominations came from local colleagues, clients, and fellow GBCC members who praised her leadership, her support for emerging clinicians, and her dedication to meeting the growing mental health needs.
The award and County Legislature High Honor were presented at the grand opening and ribbon cutting of PTR’s new Baldwinsville location at 7272 Van Buren Road, attended by community members, GBCC representatives, and local officials.
