PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER INCREASING INCOME LIMITATION RELATIVE TO PARTIAL EXEMPTION FROM REAL PROPERTY TAXES FOR PERSONS 65 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER –MARCH 3, 2026, 11:30 A.M.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Ms. Block, Mr. Burtis, Mr. Bush, Ms. Denton, Mr. Eriksen, Ms. Hernandez, Mr. Kelly, Mr. Knapp, Mr. May, Mr. McCarron, Mr. Meaker, Mr. Romeo, Mr. Ryan, Mr. Thompson, Chairwoman Watts

MEMBERS ABSENT: Mr. Brown, Mr. Garland

Chairwoman Watts called the 11:30 a.m. public hearing to order at 11:31 a.m. and stated that the resolution of the Legislature authorizing the public hearing had been entered into the record.

The Clerk confirmed that the notice had been duly published.

Chairwoman Watts called the following speakers to the podium:

  1. Mabel Wilson, Constituent
  2. Beta Kargihska, Constituent
  3. Lori Klivak, InterFaith Works of Central New York (Statement Attached)
  4. Jessica Luis, InterFaith Works of Central New York (Statement Attached)

Chairwoman Watts asked for any other speakers wishing to be heard.  Hearing none, the public hearing was adjourned at 11:50 a.m.
