The Verra Mobility school bus stop-arm enforcement solution provides state-of-the-art safety technology to capture stop-arm events effectively. When the stop arm is deployed, the camera automatically detects vehicles that pass the stopped school bus within the enforcement zone. When an event occurs, the cameras record video of the vehicle and capture event images, including the vehicle, its license plate, and the extended stop arm. The violation video and license plate images are then reviewed by law enforcement for approval before a citation is issued.

A first violation carries a base penalty fine of $250. A second violation within 18 months will carry a base penalty fine of $275. A third violation within 18 months will carry a base penalty fine of $300.

AFFIDAVIT OF NON-RESPONSIBILITY (REVIEW): The owner of the vehicle shall be responsible for this Notice of Liability except where evidence is provided, at the time and place of the violation, the ownership of the motor vehicle had been transferred, or a police officer has issued a citation for this infraction. Sign and mail the Affidavit of Non-Responsibility (along with all supporting documentation) back before the due date on the front of this Notice.

You will receive a hearing notification in the mail that will include the date, time, and location of your hearing. By requesting a hearing, you acknowledge that you will be responsible for the civil penalty if found liable. If you fail to attend your hearing, you will be found liable and responsible for the civil penalty. If you pay the civil penalty before your hearing date, you do not
need to attend the hearing.
