The District Attorney’s Office is responsible for the prosecution of criminal offenses committed within Onondaga County and for ensuring that justice is administered fairly, ethically, and in accordance with the law. The office works closely with law enforcement agencies, the courts, victims of crime, and community partners to uphold public safety and maintain confidence in the criminal justice system.
This office has established eight Diversionary Courts in Onondaga County, and we will continue to focus on rehabilitation as strongly as we do on retribution. We also have a long-established Conviction Integrity review process to look at old cases and correct historic wrongs.
I have insisted throughout my career that this office will always speak for those who can’t always speak for themselves.
