County Executive McMahon Announces Annual Memorial Day Ceremony


SYRACUSE, N.Y. — County Executive Ryan McMahon today announced that the Annual Onondaga
County Memorial Day Ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 24 at 12:00 PM at the Veterans
Memorial Cemetery, located at 4069 Howlett Hill Road, Syracuse, NY 13215.

The ceremony will honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to the nation. This year’s
program will be led by Master of Ceremonies Alex Behm, Chief Community Officer at Clear Path for
Veterans, with the Keynote Address delivered by Anthony Ruscitto, Marine Veteran and Tillman
Scholar.

All veterans, their families, and members of the public are invited to attend this solemn and meaningful
event. Remarks will be made by County Executive J. Ryan McMahon, II, and Anne-Marie Mancilla,
Director of the Onondaga County Veterans Service Agency.

County Executive Ryan McMahon said, “Memorial Day reminds us of the extraordinary courage,
service, and sacrifice that safeguard our freedoms.” McMahon continued, “Coming together as a
community to honor those who sacrificed everything is an important tradition we proudly uphold, and
we encourage residents to join us in paying tribute to the heroes who gave their lives in defense of our
nation.”
