County Executive McMahon Announces County Buildings to Light Up Green in Honor of Jeremiah Huff
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – County Executive McMahon today announced that on Monday, March 24th County facilities will light up green in memory of Jeremiah Huff, the 11-year-old who was killed earlier this week. Jeremiah was an 11-year-old at Gillette Road Middle School and students there will also be wearing green on Monday to honor the memory of Jeremiah.
Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon said, “Onondaga County is proud to honor Jeremiah with this small gesture to commemorate the beautiful life he lived. He was an incredibly special person to so many people and he will be greatly missed.” McMahon continued, “We continue to extend our most heartfelt and deepest sympathies to those suffering from his loss.”
The Carnegie Building, Courthouse, Main atrium of Gallagher Hall and the Convention Center
will all be lit up on green in honor of Jeremiah.
