Lights on the Lake Attendance Tops 40,000 Vehicles
2nd Highest Total Attendance in 27 Year History
Onondaga County announced the attendance for the 2016-17 edition of Lights on the Lake
today. 40,576 vehicles drove through the annual holiday extravaganza, the 2nd highest
attendance total in its 27 year history. The highest number, 41,587, drove through the show in
2011-12. Last year’s attendance of 40,097 is the third highest total.
“So many people make a drive through Lights on the Lake an annual holiday tradition,” said
County Executive Joanie Mahoney. “Since partnering with Galaxy Communications the show
has improved year after year and we have seen record setting attendance. We thank Galaxy
and our Parks Department for all they do to bring us a great event that makes the holidays
special.”
