Peer Coordination

The Coordinator of Peer Services supports the peer workforce in the Central NY area by engaging with both peers and providers who deliver mental health and substance use services, promoting the role of peer services across the service system.

A central focus of this position is guiding the Central New York Peer Networking Group, which encourages ongoing education and provides opportunities for peers to learn from and support each other. To contact the Coordinator of Peer Services, call 315-435-7711 ext. 4952.

The Central NY Peer Networking Group is a space for professional development and support for the peer workforce. The Group’s approach is centered on workforce needs identified by the participants.

We are individuals with personal experiences who support others facing mental health challenges, substance use issues, and life’s difficulties. Through our own recovery and credentials, we provide a professional connection and advocacy to help individuals lead meaningful lives.

How Do I Get Involved with the Central NY Peer Networking Group?

You can sign up for our mailing list and receive information on our trainings and monthly meetings. You do not need to work as a peer to sign up for the mailing list.

What Else Does the CNYPNG Offer?

We offer training! Based on the needs of the peer community, we provide training using local knowledge and resources.
