BIOGRAPHY

Legislator Ken Bush Jr. represents the 13th District in the Onondaga County Legislature, covering the towns of Camillus, Elbridge and Van Buren, and the Villages of Elbridge and Jordan. A lifelong resident of western Onondaga County, he grew up in Jordan and has spent his career running the family business, Bush Funeral Homes, in Elbridge and Jordan.

Before joining the County Legislature, Legislator Bush served as Elbridge Town Supervisor. That role gave him a strong appreciation for local government and for building solid partnerships between towns, villages, and the county. Voters first elected him to the Legislature in 2017, and he has represented the 13th District since 2018.

Legislator Bush currently serves on the County Facilities Committee and the Ways & Means Committee. He has also been a steady voice on environmental issues affecting the Seneca River and Cross Lake, including the county’s long-running effort to clear invasive water chestnuts from local waterways. He makes it a point to show up where his constituents are — libraries, senior centers, schools, chamber of commerce events, fire department breakfasts, VFW and American Legion halls, and front porches across the district.

Legislator Bush and his wife, Justine, live in Jordan and have five children and nine grandchildren.
