Public Hearing on the Modification of Agricultural District No. 1, County of Onondaga, Town of Otisco and the Towns of LaFayette, Onondaga and Tully (West of I-81)
June 2, 2026, 11:15 a.m.
Members Present: Ms. Watts, Mr. Meaker, Mr. Burtis, Mr. Thompson, Ms. Block, Mr. Eriksen, Mr. Romeo, Mr. Ryan, Ms. Denton, Mr. Brown, Ms. Hernandez
Members Absent: Mr. May, Mr. McCarron, Mr. Knapp, Mr. Bush, Mr. Kelly, Mr. Garland
Chairwoman Watts called the 11:15 a.m. public hearing to order at 11:16 a.m. and stated that Resolution 87-2026, which authorized the public hearing, had been entered into the record.
The Clerk confirmed that the notice had been duly published.
Chairwoman Watts stated that on Thursday, May 7th Scott Edinger emailed Lisa Welch, Planner for the Onondaga County Department of Planning, to indicate that he had accidentally submitted a request to be removed from the district. Mr. Edinger requested that his property be removed from the slate of removals. Chairwoman Watts read the text of the email and entered the email into the official record. Chairwoman Watts stated that on Monday, June 1st, Jennifer Canfield emailed Lisa Welch, Planner for the Onondaga County Department of Planning, to indicate that she had accidentally submitted a request to be removed from the district. Ms. Canfield requested that her and her husband, Mr. Richard Canfield, property be removed from the slate of removals. Chairwoman Watts asked for speakers wishing to be heard. Hearing none, the public hearing was adjourned at 11:19 a.m.
A motion was made by Mr. Meaker, seconded by Ms. Hernandez; MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
