Onondaga County Alert: OCWA Water Conservation

CNYMRC volunteers are trained to step in when communities need them most. From learning local emergency procedures and basic public health measures to supporting disaster-affected individuals and using specialized equipment, training ensures you are ready to respond.

Most importantly, you will learn to work as part of a team. A well-prepared MRC unit knows the community’s response plan, its partners, and how to use volunteer skills where they will have the greatest impact.

Your training prepares you to save lives, support neighbors, and strengthen community resilience.

CNYMRC Required Training:

To be recognized as an active CNYMRC volunteer and certified to assist during emergencies, specific training is required. These courses are offered through the NYS Department of Health’s Learning Management System. If you are new to the LMS, you will need to create an account before beginning your courses.
