Training Activity: New York HOPE Field Training Exercise
July 30 – August 2
New York HOPE is a hands-on field training exercise designed to simulate a large-scale domestic disaster response. This immersive experience challenges participants to step outside their comfort zones while building real-world emergency response skills.
Participants work in teams, rotating through leadership roles as they respond to complex, evolving scenarios. Training components include mass casualty response, water rescue operations, secondary triage and treatment, damage assessment, and emergency operations coordination (Incident Command, EOC, and Cyber response).
This dynamic exercise strengthens teamwork, leadership, and decision-making under pressure—key skills for any emergency responder.
