County Executive Joanie Mahoney Thanks Live Nation for Providing Free Tickets to Veterans

County Executive made request; Live Nation provided over 200 tickets

SYRACUSE, NY – County Executive Joanie Mahoney thanked Live Nation today for answering her request to provide tickets free of charge to the Veteran community for the upcoming Janet Jackson concert at the Saint Joseph’s Health Amphitheater at Lakeview.

Live Nation worked with County Executive’s Office and the Onondaga County Veterans Service Agency to reach out local veteran groups including Clear Path for Veterans, Honor Flight, the VA local American Legions who spread the word about the offer. Over 200 tickets were distributed to Veteran’s and their families.

“We are eternally grateful to the Veteran’s in our community for their service and I thank Live Nation for making it possible for us to share a token of our appreciation,” said County Executive Mahoney. “I hope all of the concert goers will welcome our local Veterans and that everyone enjoys a beautiful evening at our spectacular amphitheater on Onondaga Lake.”

“It is most important that our veterans be shown as much respect as possible. And with that in mind we’re thrilled to be able to offer these tickets to the Veterans. We hope they enjoy a night of great music at our beautiful amphitheater,” stated Jim Koplik, President of Live Nation Upstate New York & Connecticut.

Janet Jackson is scheduled to perform Wednesday, July 18th as part of her “State of the World” Tour.
