Lakeview Amphitheater Receives Prestigious Platinum Award from American Council of Engineering Companies
County Executive Joanie Mahoney congratulates all involved on receiving a prestigious nod from industry leaders
Onondaga County Executive Joanie Mahoney is pleased to announce that the newly finished
Lakeview Amphitheater has received a prestigious project award from the American Council of
Engineering Companies of New York. The Lakeview Amphitheater has received a Platinum
Award in Engineering Excellence.
“Congratulations to the entire project team on receiving this prestigious honor,” said Onondaga
County Executive Joanie Mahoney. “We all know firsthand the tremendous job that was done
by all involved with the Lakeview Amphitheater project, and it is great to see the industry
professionals acknowledging their accomplishment as well. We now have a first class venue
booking an incredible inaugural concert season on the shores of Onondaga Lake.”
The Lakeview Amphitheater project received a 2016 Platinum Engineering Excellence award in
the category of Special Projects from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC)
New York Chapter. ACEC awards Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond awards in a
number of engineering categories. ACEC is the voice of America’s engineering industry. The
more than 5,500 firms comprising the council’s membership are engaged in a wide range of
engineering works that propel the nation’s economy, and enhance and safeguard America’s
quality of life.
The award was submitted by The C&S Companies. C&S was the program, project, and
construction manager and completed the bridging design documents for the brand new $50
million Lakeview Amphitheater on the shores of Onondaga Lake.
