The Office of Vital Statistics maintains the records for all births and deaths that have taken place in Onondaga County for the past 150 years. The Office provides Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, and Acknowledgments of Parentage by request. We also offer genealogical research.
Requests for certified copies of birth and death records can be made by mail, fax, online or by visiting the office. We require proper identification and a completed application form for all requests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fee for a birth or death certificate is $30.00. Additional copies of the same certificate are $15.00 each, when ordered at the same time. Requests for genealogy research can only be made by mail at this time. The fee is based on the number of years searched and is non-refundable. Current processing time for genealogy requests is eight (8) weeks and priority\/overnight shipping is not available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
