S. citizen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be 18 years old (you may preregister at 16 or 17 but cannot vote until 18)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not be in prison for a felony conviction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not claim the right to vote elsewhere<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not found to be incompetent by a court<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Register or Update Your Voter Record<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Download a PDF copy and submit it at the Board of Elections Office or by mail to register or update any information that has changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may also register or update online at the MYDMV website.&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/dmv.ny.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.dmv.ny.gov<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Voter Registration forms are available from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>U.S. Post Offices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Public Libraries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>City\/Town\/Village Clerk Offices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also complete an Accessible version of the New York State Voter Registration Form on-line by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/elections.ny.gov\/accessible-voting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">clicking here<\/a>, typing the necessary information and selecting the appropriate boxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the form is completed, you need to print the form and sign and date it.
