The Onondaga County Department of Emergency Communications is scheduled for a remote on-site assessment as part of a program to achieve reaccreditation by verifying it meets professional standards.<\/p>\n

Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards in the areas of policy and procedures, administration and operations.<\/p>\n

As part of the on-site assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments by calling 1-929-205-6099 (ID: 829 4028 1594 Passcode: 911) on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, between the hours of 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Comments will be taken by the assessment team.<\/p>\n

Telephone comments are limited to ten minutes and must address the agency\u2019s ability to comply with CALEA\u2019s standards. A copy of the standards is available for review at the Onondaga County Department of Emergency Communications, located at 3911 Central Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13215.
