County Executive McMahon Reacts to County Legislature Vote to Transfer Tax Delinquent Property
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Following a vote by the County Legislature to transfer 56 Industrial Drive to the newly created Onondaga County Accountability and Reinvestment, LDC, County J. Ryan McMahon, II said the following:
“Let today’s vote serve as a clear message to every tax delinquent commercial property in Onondaga County: Either pay your taxes or we will find a responsible owner to develop the property and return it to productive use.” McMahon continued, “From day one, I have committed to holding these irresponsible corporate citizens accountable and we will continue to do so until every property has paid the taxes they owe the people of Onondaga County or the properties aresuccessfully redeveloped.”
