First Season at Lakeview Amphitheater a Tremendous Success
The first season at the Lakeview Amphitheater is a tremendous success. Live Nation shared
with Onondaga County that ticket sales exceeded 200,000. Tickets were purchased from all 50
states as well as Washington DC, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. People from all 62
counties in NY State purchased tickets as well. Over 62% of the tickets were purchased from
zip codes outside of Onondaga County and over 30% outside of New York State.
“The results are extraordinary,” said Onondaga County Executive Joanie Mahoney. “We had
high expectations for Lakeview Amphitheater and they were exceeded. We built a beautiful
venue on our revitalized lake with great sound and seating and concertgoers embraced it.
Thank you to everyone who made this season such a tremendous success.”
“Lakeview Amphitheater is an economic engine for our county,” said Onondaga County
Legislature Chairman Ryan McMahon. “To see so many people from outside Onondaga County
come to shows is fantastic. These people are seeing all that Central New York has to offer and
it will encourage them to visit often.”
Onondaga County thanks SMG for operating the facility so well in its first year, Live Nation for
bringing a great lineup to Lakeview Amphitheater this season and all the artists who performed
great concerts.
